Tiririca The Clown Wins Seat In Brazil’s Parliament Sewer

by | 5th, October 2010

A BIG parp on the nose to Tiririca (Grumpy), aka Francisco Oliveira Silva, Brazil’s newest Congressman and professional clown.

Silva scooped 1.3 million votes. He is now a federal deputy for Sao Paulo, having secured his seat on the legend:

“It can’t get any worse.”

Tiririca’s 1,353,355 votes thrashed second placed Antony Garotinho, who took more than 694,000 votes.

All to the good. But what happened to the anti-clown vote. Because clown are evil, right? Clowns are campaigning in Alton Towers about The Carnival of Screams ride that promises a circus “that nightmares are made of”.

Says Fips the Clown:

“It only serves to reinforce stereotypes of clowns as evil. I can’t believe this – it has taken us years to get over Stephen King’s ‘IT’ and now this just adds to further damage the reputation of clowns worldwide.”

Tiririca does not live in a drain. But Mr Oliveira I now in the sewer…
