BECAUSE the Brazilians are foreigners with foreign sounding names, the media has yet to find a face of the mudslides that has killed hundreds and left thousands homeless and bereft that will touch viewers’ hearts. So, here’s Leao the dog staying by the grave of its owner Cristina Maria Cesario Santana ever since she died.
The big numbers mean little. It’s the small story that makes a tragedy unbearable…
