Fugitive Con Man Found Working As TV Star

ROMANIAN police have spent ten years hunting a con man called Viorel Plescan. They have now found him. Where was he? On the telly, cunningly disguised as a TV show anchorman.
Plescan had married abroad and taken his wife’s name. He is now Viorel Andrei. He was caught when police pulled him over for a traffic offence and checked his records.
He will now serve the eight years he was sentenced to for fraud.
