Midsomer Murders: Brian True-May Bemoans Lack Of Indians

MIDSOMER Murders producer Brian True-May is on gardening leave for comments that his show deliberately ignores ethnic minorities (and other realities). As he said, “it wouldn’t be the English village with them.”
As Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby bumbles on, we are indebted to the Anorak reader who points us towards True-May’s words to the Guardian back in June 2010. Get this:
Asked if he was also talking to the BBC, True-May said: “No, I don’t want to alienate the BBC but I’ve given up working for them a long time ago. There’s too many chiefs and not enough Indians.”
Pretty much the opposite of Midsomer Murders, then…
