Sheena Upton Is Kerry Campbell Is Botox Mum: A Story Of Sun Lies And Bad Parenting

by | 20th, May 2011

WHEN Sheena Upton, aka Kerry Campbell, aka Botox Mom injected her 8-year-old daughter Britney Campbell’s face with Botox to get her pumped for pageant show, the media gasped and then wailed for joy. Nothing makes parents feel better than a bad mum story. Bad parenting is the ultimate tabloid thriller.

Well, Kerry now claims it was all a scam created by the Sun, which she alleges paid her $200 to recite the words in a script during a recorded interview. Kerry says she saw it as an “acting job”.

In the Sun, we heard Kerry/ Sheena/ Botox Mum say on May 18:

THE mum who injected her daughter aged eight with Botox told The Sun last night: “I cannot put into words the remorse I feel. I am going to seek therapy for my obsession with looks so I will no longer push my insecurities about appearance on to her.”

On March 23, the Sun told us:

Once every three months, Britney climbs on a beautician’s table and watches as mum Kerry prepares needles of Botox and fillers to be injected into her face.

Beautician Kerry, 34, from Birmingham, buys the substances online and injects them into her daughter’s forehead, lips and around her eyes.

Kerry was born in Birmingham, UK, but now lives in San Francisco. She is quoted in the Sun:

“I know one day she will be a model, actress or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer. I’m sure people reading this will think I am being irresponsible, but I ensure that I test the Botox and fillers I buy online on myself first. All I want is for Britney to have the best start in life, so it is easier for her to become a superstar. More mothers should do it for their daughters.”

With the film in the can, US telly shows Good Morning America and The Insider called. Sheena says they offered her a “large amount of cash” to go on their shows. ABC says it paid a middle man around $10,000 to use pictures of Botox Mom sticking needle into the head of Botox Baby.

She tells TMZ that GMA “didn’t ask me any questions to try to figure out anything“. They just wheeled her onto the show.

Says Kerry, who has now had her daughter checked out by medics in an effort to prove her claim of it being a scam:

“After my daughter received a full medical exam, the results indicated that she has not ever received treatments including Botox or other such injections.”

It’s an odd one, isn’t it. Are your prejudices against the mum who injects her child but says she lied for money, the British tabloid accused of making up stories for shock value, or the US TV shows for accepting anything it sees in said tabloid as fact?

All we know for sure it that it’s a shock story getting better by the day – and no-one likes wrinkly kids…
