Craig Williams Drives A Vauxhall Frontera Up Mount Snowdon (You Might Try The Land Rover)

CRAIG Williams attempted to drive to the top of Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales . He failed, stopping 400 yards short of the summit. Says the driver of a Vauxhall Frontera:

“There’s no plan of action as we speak, there wasn’t to begin with. Out of a list of 50 things to do before you die, this was one of them. If you think that was on top of the list, the other 49 are now not going to be done.”

Williams has broken the law (that on the list?) and will be dealt with.

Sam Roberts, who was warden on the mountain for nearly 40 years, tells the BBC:

“It’s difficult to think of anything which hasn’t been up there. There have been pianos, beds, stilts, a unicycle, people have gone on their hands and knees, backwards…. although of course they were all there legally, because no motorised vehicles are allowed.”

But then cars began to improve, 4x4s became prevalent… and who in their right mind would take the train (the Snowdon Mountain Railway goes up the mountain) when you can drive..? (Tip: Take the Land Rover.)
