Vauxhall Frontera Fails In Second Bid To Reach Snowdon Summit
THERE’S a Vauxhall Frontera close to the summit of Mount Snowdon. It’s parked near the summit visitors centre.
It’s the same car that was on the mountain earlier in the year. Back then, Craig Williams admitted that he had driven it:
“There’s no plan of action as we speak, there wasn’t to begin with. Out of a list of 50 things to do before you die, this was one of them. If you think that was on top of the list, the other 49 are now not going to be done.”
Anorak readers will recall that in July 2001, the Daily Mail warned / promised that “they” were planning to tarmac a road up Snowdon.
There is a train, but still no road. Why are trains ok and cars frowned upon? If you could drive a car up Snowdon, a darn sight more people would get to the top and appreciate both its splendour and man’s ingenuity…
