Lena Paahlsson finds lost wedding ring attached to growing carrot
LENA Paahlsson lost her ring 16 years ago. She’s just found attached to a carrot growing in her garden.
Dagens Nyhete reports that Lena Paahlsson lost her self-designed white-gold band featuring seven small diamonds in Christmas 1995. She says he lost it in the kitchen of her home in Mora, Sweden. Now she’s found it.
Says Ola Paahlsson, Lena’s husband:
“The carrot was sprouting in the middle of the ring. It is quite incredible.”
Ola and his wife Len believe the ring fell into sinks, got mixed with peeling and when composted founds its way around a growing carrot.
Like you we have spent the Christmas holidays watching The Killing and The French equivalent Spiral box sets. My detective nose points towards a likely culprit: Snowmen. As Raymond Briggs taught us, The Snowman will only break your heart at Christmas – and now we know, the cold hearted anti-environmentalist bastard (coal…for buttons!) will very possibly nick your jewellery…
