Dad arrested for poisoning mum’s Rice Krispies with Goof Off
FERNANDO Porras, 43, is accused ot trying to poison his wife by lacing her Rice Krispies with Goof Off, an all-purpose cleaning fluid at their home in Azna, California. Mrs Poras, 51, is very ill, having eaten the concoction. Police were alerted when the woman’s 17-year-old daughter Fernanda “smelt the chemical in her mother’s cereal dish“.
Says Fernanda
“She goes ‘something’s in it, something’s in it. So I went and picked it up and when I saw what was in the cup, I could smell it and I was like ‘oh my gosh, this is a chemical.’”
Adding:
“It’s my dad. It’s hard not think about, you know, why would he do it?… You see it on the TV, But you never realize it might happen in your own house.”
