Man rewarded for failed citizen’s arrest of Tony Blair for war crimes
BACK in June, 2012, British ex-pat Tom Grundy, 29, interrupted Tony Blair’s speaking engagement in Hong Kong and attempted to arrest the sanctimonious former PM.
Grundy wanted to make a citizen’s arrest, apprehending Blair for alleged crimes connected to the Iraq war.
The plan failed because police never arrived.
Mr Grundy might have ended up looking like bit of a berk, but he’s just been awarded £2,420.89 awarded byGeorge Monbiot’s arrestblair.org campaign.
Here’s the video of Grundy, who lives in Hong Kong – that former imperialist colony now ruled by enlightened and fair China – making a point about imperialistic white men meddling in things overseas:
