Granny batters burglars with Guitar Hero controller
A GRANDMOTHER fended off three armed- ARMED – intruders using the best weapon money can buy – a Guitar Hero controller!
Melinda Walker – whose home had been broken into numerous times before – hit the burglars repeatedly with the guitar-shaped controller after becoming fed up at their constant attempts to snatch her belongings by robbing her house.
Walker was at home with her 5-year-old grandson when the intruders got in her house and demanded she hand over money and her television. They claimed they had a gun, but that wasn’t going to stop Nana Walker!
“All I thought of was, ‘You’re getting away from my grandson!”
“I looked them up and down. I didn’t see a gun. This [controller] was laying on the floor. And I just reached down and picked it up and I told them to get the hell out of my house. I just kept smacking one of them.”
In a message to the men, she said:
“I may not be a strong woman. I may not be a well woman, but you’re not going to get my stuff.”
Of course, we should expect a piece in the Daily Mail about how video games make you violent, but for now, we should continually shout the world BRILLIANT at a woman who beat some criminals up with a plastic guitar!
