Barack Obama is no Trayvon Martin – he’s a hypocritcal version of George Zimmerman
BARACK Obama says he is Trayvon Martin, the black unarmed teenager killed by a “white hispanic” vigilante. A Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty of murdering Martin. Now Obama , who said that the dead youth could have been his son, now says he could have been the dead teenager.
He says:
“There are very few African-American men who haven’t had the experience of being followed in a department store. That includes me.”
Martin was in the street. If you walk through Obama’s White House ‘hood wearing and then get in a fistfight with one of his armed protectors, you may regret it. And he’s got drones. the racial profilers punch in teh data. The robots do the work of the amed and paranoid.
Obama isn’t Trayvon Martin. He’s more like George Zimmerman, or at least his personal security service are.
He adds:
“I said this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is, Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago. The African-American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away.”
In Obama’s America, the President reviews the judiciary. Now that is dangerous.
In other news, Florida backed Obama at the last election. Now it’s a sink of racism:
“A number of House Democrats are lining up behind the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s threat for an economic boycott of Florida following the not-guilty verdict in the death of Trayvon Martin.”
Obama: Trayvon “could have been me.” True, and so could many still behind bars for drug possession

If Zimmerman wanted Obama to leave him alone, he should have just killed a US ambassador.
“By the President comparing himself to Martin 35 years ago, is he saying he would have responded as Martin did, and physically attacked someone for following him? I hope not because our laws do not allow such conduct. It is not illegal for a private citizen to follow someone. It is illegal to physically assault another person who has not threatened him with the imminent use of force. I am very disappointed that the President has chosen to endorse those who have turned a case of assault and self-defense into a referendum on race and civil rights.”
Antonio Moore says Obama’s speach “one of the most important racial speeches in United States history”.
he essentially lifted the veil described by Booker T. Washington, and connected the presidential office to institutional struggle that happens from Chicago to Los Angeles to Seminole County.
Eris Zion Venia Dyson adds:
This trial, and trials like it through America’s tumultuous history, do indeed inform the way not just black Americans, but all Americans, navigate the conversation about the next steps we need to take towards an equitable society. Young men of color, especially, are an endangered species. And the parents of these young men are afraid for their children’s lives. Some are even fearful of bringing a black son into this world.
What happened to all that Hope and Change?
