JK Rowling crime writer identity was revealed over a Twitter chat
WE know JK Rowling was ‘Robert Galbraith’, writer of the crime novel The Cuckoo’s Calling because a friend of a solicitor at Russells, her lawyers, told someone on Twitter.
Lawyer Christopher Gossage told his pal Judith Callegari; he then went on Twitter and told a Sunday Times journalist; the paper then made the announcement.
The matter went to the High Court in London on Wednesday. Russells bowed to Rowling’s request to make a donation (equivalent to three year’s royalties) to The Soldiers’ Charity.
You see, it wasn’t a marketing ploy:
Nielsen BookScan data reveals that 17,662 hardback copies of the novel, published three months ago, were sold between 14 and 20 July, up from just 43 copies the previous week.
Just wait until we reveal that she writes for Anorak… Oops!
