Arsenal: Mark Lawrenson looks in the Mirror for the fools who said Manchester United were going great and the Gunners were doomed
HOW hard is it to be BBC football pundit who shares his bon mots with the Daily Mirror? Let’s look at Mark Lawrenson:
“While Arsenal go backwards, the big clubs have started the new season as they mean to go on…I have no idea what Arsenal are doing…it is all just a mess at the Emirates…just shows you how far Arsenal have fallen behind.”
“I have no idea what Arsenal are doing.”
And those are the truest words he has ever said.
Lawrenson added how Manchester United were going to buy one star name Arsenal needed:
Marouane Fellaini will want to work with David Moyes again at Manchester United.
A short while on and Lawrenson now opines:
Even if Moyes steams into them, they will simply look around the dressing room and say, ‘Who is going to take my place?’
Who does Marouane Fellaini threaten?
Tom Cleverley.
That says it all.
So says the expert, who adds with hindsight:
They should never have allowed David Gill to leave at the same time as Sir Alex Ferguson. Gill should have stayed to see Moyes through his first year.
And of Arsenal who had no idea as opposed to United who had got it right, Lawro writes?
Where are those critics now with Arsenal two points clear at the top of the Premier League table?’
In the mirror, Lawro, literally…
“Five weeks ago Arsene Wenger was a plonker. Where are those critics now with Arsenal two points clear at the top of the Premier League table?”
STill wrioteing for teh dAily Mirro by teh looks of it…
