THIS is the story of police officer Sevilla in the Philippines, keeping the crowds safe as the President made his State of the Nation Address.
A foreigner asks him: “Why are you doing this? Why are you hurting us?”, even though he is just standing there.
He replies: “I am a policeman, I’m just doing my job.”
And then he cried.
They noticed.
Compassion took hold.
