THEY said farewell to Harold Percival at Lytham Park Crematorium, Lytham St Annes, in Lancashire. After the advert – see above – people came to pay their respects.
If only all the old and alone got such treatment. Harold Percival was 99 when he died. His death was defined by what he had done when he was young man – an ordinary man in an extraordinary time. Not everyone is so fortunate to have an emotive footnote. Let’s not ignore the elderly. They’ve all been part of someone’s history.
