Falling Porcupine Injects 200 Spines Into Woman’s Head
SANDRA Nabucco was out walking her Gávea close to her home in the Rio de Janeiro suburbs when, as Globo reports, a porcupine fell on her head. She says:
“It was a huge shock. I felt a thud on my head and then felt spines with my hands. The pain was enormous. I’m a strong woman; an old person or a child would have died. I also care about the animals.”
The creature squirted 200 quills into her head.
Two questions: can porcupine’s fly? And do they make good boot scrapers?
