RIP Bob The Opossum – We Shall Soon See Your Like Again
RIP Opossum Bob, or Bob The Opossum, to give you your title. It was back in 2011 that Bob was found suffering from spinal injuries. He was taken to Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Too hurt to be released back into the wild, Bob got a job at the Wild at Heart Rescue in Gulfport, Mississippi. Reports say, “Last year alone he took part in nearly 300 educational programmes.”
Under-qualified for the wild, Bob was a natural teacher. And then he died. His body was put on display at the A Pet’s Memory Funeral Home and Crematory in Gulfport, where “Many say they fondly remember hand feeding him bananas.”
But is he dead? Is he just pretending? The presence of angel wings and other religionist symbols would only add to the legend, as Bob rises again.
