A Sinkhole Swallowing Your Car In High Wycombe Is Another Thing To Worry About
PHIL Conran looked out of a window from his home, in Main Road, Walter’s Ash, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, after a 30ft-deep sinkhole opened up in the driveway yesterday and swallowed his car.
In addition to vandals, fire and theft, the British car driver must now worry about sink holes. Are you insured? Is it an act of God, or the actions of moles? Will a decent size pot cover the gap?
An what the car that Hell wanted so urgently? It was a VW. A Polo, to go with that perfectly with that hole? No. It was a Lupo.
The car belonged to Phil’s daughter, Zoe Smith, She says:
“I went to walk out the front door and obviously my car wasn’t there and I thought ‘Oh my that’s a bit strange’. So I went back inside, looked out of the window thinking someone has stolen my car. There was just a crater at which point I screamed the house down. I’m quite lucky I’ve got parents who are good in a crisis and said, ‘It’s okay, it’s just a car and you weren’t in it’.”
