Ched Evans Turns Judy Finnigan Into A Monster
IS there anything that makes you think the Daily Mirror is not siding with Judy Finnigan in the matter of footballer and convicted rapist Ched Evans.
Judy appears to have put her face on upside down.
As for the story:
The Loose Women newcomer has apologised “unreservedly” for any offence caused by her controversial comments after appearing to defend convicted rapist Ched Evans
Evans, who protests his innocence, wants to continue in his job, playing for Sheffield United, when he leaves prison.
Finnigan opined:
“He’s served his time. The rape and I am not, please, by any means minimising any kind of rape – but the rape was not violent. He didn’t cause any bodily harm to the person… It was unpleasant, in a hotel room, I believe, and she was – she had far too much to drink. And you know, that is reprehensible, but he has been convicted and he has served his time. Now when he comes out, what are we supposed to do? Just actually refuse to let him do his job? Again, even though he has already been punished?”
Following a barage of abuse aimed at her, Finnigan adds:
“The point I was attempting to raise as part of the debate was what should happen to someone after they have committed a crime and served their time? I apologise unreservedly for any offence that I may have caused as a result of the wording I used.”
For what it’s worth, she’s right. Evans was removed from society. He known to be a rapist. His returning to work will not change that.
