Transfer Balls: Liverpool ‘accept’ £45m for Sterling because Manchester City are desperate to spend £191m?
Transfer Balls: The Star says Manchester City will bid £45m for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling as part of a “£191m City spree”.
The Sun says:
MANCHESTER CITY have been given the green light by Uefa for a £150million spree.
ESPN says that spree will be £100m.
Where does the Star conjure £191m from? It fails to say.
And if City have so much money to spend, then surely Liverpool will hold out for the £50m they want for Sterling.
The Star adds:
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini will land Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling at the third attempt – for £45million.
The Star’s “story”, labelled as an “exclusive”, contains not a single source, named or otherwise.
Such are the facts.
