According to Soccerex Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling is the most valuable young player in Europe. The 20-year-old, linked with a move to Manchester City, heads the ‘Soccerex 20 Football Value Index’, which ranks players under 21 in Europe according to a whole list of factors including age, position, club, contract length, injuries, technical quality, tattoos, hair gel and shaggability (only some of those have been made up).

Players are given a projected value, with chart-topper Sterling given a £34.5million figure, some way below the £50million Liverpool are asking for.

Nine Premier League players overall make the list with Man Utd’s Luke Shaw (signed for £27m in 2014) and new-boy Memphis Depay, Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma, Liverpool’s Emre Can and loanee Divock Origi, Everton’s John Stones and the Arsenal duo of Callum Chambers (signed by Arsenal last summer for £16m) and Hector Bellerin joining Sterling in the countdown.

But where’s Harry Kane?!

Here’s the top 20. Make of it what you will…
