How Muller will replace striker Robin Van Persie is a moot point.
But the Metro says Man United have lots of money for the excellent Muller:
Manchester United ‘have £57.4m Thomas Muller bid rejected, transfer talks are ongoing’
…according to L’Equipe, United upped the ante of those talks by tabling a £57.4m bid for the 25-year-old.
The French newspsper says Untied have made no such offer. But it does say that they might.
Manchester United would be prepared to offer 82 million euros to recruit Thomas Müller, German international striker of Bayern Munich.
L’Equipe’s source is Sport1.de, on which you can read that the apparent £57.4m bid is “not confirmed”, Muller saying he’s happy at Bayern and Bayern Munich’s Karl-Heinz Rummenigge saying of Muller to Man United:
“I have no desire to deny stories every day. That’s part of my bedtime reading. I go to bed always amused.”
