The Beatles children to form a truly awful band? The Drab Four are here
EVERYTHING ever is always spoiled by the introduction of children. Muppets – great. Muppet Babies – awful. Scooby Doo – excellent caper with slight counterculture vibes. The introduction of Scrappy Doo? Worse than a dose of anthrax. Even Popeye had a son at one point and everyone in the world wanted to end his life.
And so, let us introduce to you, the act you’ve known for all these years, The Beatles Babies!
That’s right, we could well be faced with the Drab Four if Paul McCartney’s son, James, gets his way. It has been reported that James Macca is “up for it” and that John Lennon’s son, Sean, and George Harrison’s son, Dhani, have also shown support for the idea, which would see various Beatle-sperm getting together and performing songs which will invariably defecate all over the memory of the world’s most famous group.

Stock, Aitken and Waterman gig to feature Steps, Astley, Bananarama and SYBIL!
OH, dear. Pete Burns and Sinitta were at London’s County Hall to herald this summer’s “Hit Factory Live” concert, a cavalcade of hits from Stock Aitken and Waterman. The show will also feature such Capital Gold acts as Jason Donovan, Bananarama, Rick Astley, STEPs, Brother Beyond, Lonnie Gordon, Pepsi & Shirlie, Sinitta, Princess, Hazell Dean, Sonia, Sybil, 2 Unlimited and… No, not Kylie Minogue, the one act who could get a crowd together. This is mob rule music. You’ll know when it’s time to go home because someone will say, “And here’s one I wrote recently…”

Whitney Houston murdered Dolly Parton – don’t believe the hype
HOW good a signer was Whitney Houston? Julian Owen looks at her rendition of Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You. Parton’s song was a farewell to a business relationship with the Porter Wagoner Show, which had given her a big break in 1967. In 1973, she said goodbye. In 1982, Dolly sang it again on the soundtrack to The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. And then Houston got hold of it. The song went big. Very big. But did Houston get it?

Will Capital Radio drop One Direction after Brits gaffe?
WHEN One Direction won a Best British Single at the Brit awards, we wondered who the hell made that decision and how we could have been so wrong? Harry Styles did his best to clear things up by giving a “massive thank you to Radio 1” for making is happen. Only, the gong was awarded by Capital FM listeners and iTunes users.
An industry source tells the Guardian:
“One Direction as far as Capital are concerned are only going in one direction.”

Adele wins six at The Grammys – photos
THE BAFTAS and Grammys were on the same night. Anorak was double-booked, so we did as most of you did and watched the showbiz AGMS at home on the telly. The Baftas are over here. The Grammys are here. It was good night for Adele, who got to hide the frame that offends bitchy fashionistas behind six metal gramophone records. The 23-year-old from Tottenham belted out Rolling in the Deep, the family car trip sound of 2011 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
Said Adele:
“Thank you so much. This is ridiculous. I want to say thank you to every radio programmer and broadcaster that has been playing Rolling in the Deep … because I know it’s not really a pop record.”
Isn’t it?

In photos – Clive Davis Pre-GRAMMY Gala: Diana Ross’s hair sees off Kardashian breasts
WHITNEY Houston is dead. And the Clive Davis Pre-GRAMMY Gala goes on. This is the Pre-GRAMMY Gala & Salute to Industry Icons with Clive Davis honouring Richard Branson. It’s about the music. But it’s really about the hair. No, not the breasts – hard lucks to Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian who showed more front than Bridlington. It’s the hair that rocks pop.
Branson has hair like a Barbie doll. Slash, the Guns & Roses guitarist, has luxurious curly hair that is always seen beneath a top hat. Does the hair go to the top of the trademark lid, or is it attacked to the hair’s brim? The biggest hair belonged to Diana Ross. Her hair is so big it has it own postcode. It’s massive. It’s hair to share. When Ross dies, her hair will keep growing, possibly in a museum or under Slash’s hat..
