Lady GaGa’s Version Of White Christmas Is Leaked AND SHE’S ADDED HER OWN VERSE

SHE may be better known for making barnstorming enormopop and wearing outfits that Grace Jones may get jealous of, but to anyone who has even vaguely followed the career of Lady GaGa, you’ll know she’s got a sappy side.

And with that, there’s been a lot of talk about a Christmas EP coming our way from Mother Monster called A Very GaGa Holiday. Guess what? One of the songs from it has leaked online.

We’ve pulled together a Crusade of albums for your musical enlightenment. Springsteen To Do Sunderland – Which Reverses The Usual Process

SpringsteenBRUCE Springsteen is to play the Sunderland AFC Stadium of Light on June 21, next year.

It is to be hoped all his stage gear and off-stage bling is properly Post Coded and the Roadies’ vehicles and campers have the under-nourished Pit Bulls from Hell on guard inside.

The above comments have nothing at all to do with the fact the writer had a car nicked, used for an off-licence ram raid and burned out in the aforementioned car crime capital of Europe. The no-claims bonus took a hammering.

Studio Killers: Ode To The Bouncer Is This Year’s Party Anthem

THIS Christmas you will be dancing to Studio Killers – Ode To The Bouncer. Cherry (Lead Singer), Goldie Foxx, and Dyna Mink are Scandi pop masters:

”No, I haven’t had no dope, lift up the velvet rope, Mr Doorman stop teasing, I’m freezing out here.”

LYRICS

Ooh, let me in or I’ll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical to do

No, I haven’t had no dope
Lift up the velvet rope
Mr doorman stop teasing
I’m freezing out here

See, I’ve got friends inside
It’s my birthday tonight
And I’m not wearing trainers
Not to mention knickers

It’s futile to debate
With St Peter at the gate
Made of protein milkshake
And low carb intake

Cause all in all you’re just
Another prick at the door

Ooh, let me in or I’ll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical to do

Bouncer, hey bouncer,
Bouncer, bounce bounce bouncer
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical
Bouncer, bouncer

Bouncer, empowered and aroused
I see it in your trousers
And in the way you browse her
Look she’s in!

What?! Her dress is up to waterline
That b*tch is clearly borderline
Nose as white as Snow White’s, in moonlight

We stand in awe in front of
Another prick at the door

Ooh, let me in or I’ll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical to do

Bouncer, hey bouncer,
Bouncer, bounce bounce bouncer
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical
Bouncer, hey bouncer
Bounce bounce bouncer

Ooh, let me in or I’ll get physical
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical

So you can play karate
You thick illiterati
I’m a black belt in life
So go home to your ugly wife

You forgot in your wisdom
The window to the ladies room
A whole new possibility for a cat like me

Ooh, let me in or I’ll get physical with you
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical to do

Bouncer, hey bouncer,
Bouncer, bounce bounce bouncer
I just gotta dance right now, it’s critical
Bouncer, hey bouncer

Can’s Tago Mago Is 40 This Week: Duncan Fallowell Enlarges

LOVERS of krautrock awake! Spoon Records and Mute are bringing out a 40th anniversary edition of the classic, ‘genre-defying’ Can album Tago Mago this week.

As it happens, leading Arcatiste Duncan Fallowell provided the original liner notes which were taken from an article he published in Melody Maker in October 1971, reprinted for the reissue. He didn’t really want them to, but the record companies said: ‘Oh yes, that’s the whole point, it’s historical. And would you like to write some new ones too?’ So, he has done so.

Duncan was the first person in the UK to visit band Can in Germany and write about them – he ‘broke’ them here as it were – and did it – guess where? – in the once old codgery Spectator. ‘Can you imagine it now?’ Duncan tells Madame. ‘It was really marvellous of the Speccie to go with my wildness in those days which was down to the arts editor really, Kenneth Hurren, but George Gale and the wonderful Harry Creighton were amused by it too. I was 21, 22. It was young fresh acid wildness, not the Jeffrey Barnard sozzled old mackintosh wildness of subsequent Spectator years.’

R Kelly Is Back! And This Time, He’s Singing About Throat Surgery!

MENTAL. That’s the only correct word you can feasibly describe R Kelly with these days. He’s the Colonel Kurtz of pop, all paranoid and holed-up lashing out at imagined haters, bringing forth the horror, the horror.

And of course, Kels has been quiet of late because he’s been having throat surgery (literally quiet then) but now, well, his voice has mended enough for him to make another absolutely barking track where he veers from pompous, arrogant swine to wounded, sensitive soul in the bat of an eye.

The man himself took to Twitter, saying:

“It’s been a long time coming but I finally feel a lot better about my throat since the surgery and this is the first song I wrote.”

Madonna Isn’t Happy About New Track Being Leaked

THE music industry isn’t the same as it once was. The main difference is that the industry itself isn’t in control of what is released, how you obtain it and where you listen to it. Basically, it’s watching the rug being pulled from under its own feet and some of the old guard just don’t know what to do.

The most recent example of this is Madonna and her leaked ‘Give Me All Your Love’ demo hitting the internet this week. And she really isn’t happy about it. And of course, you can hear it below to anger her further.

Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary has said the singer was “very upset” that a demo had leaked, spoiling the ‘surprise’ of new material from her upcoming album.

“Madonna told me this morning ‘my true fans wouldn’t do this’… whoever is responsible for this leak, we ask that you please stop!” Oseary wrote via Twitter. “I’m very happy with the positive reaction to the demo, but we are very upset with whoever leaked the song!!!!!!!!” he added.

Justin Bieber Wears No Pull Ups In A Display Of Moist Love For Selena Gomez: Photos

ALL eyes on Selena Gomez, china doll-headed sex interest in Justin Bieber’s life, at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast. Well, before Mariah Yeater claimed she parted Bieber’s fringe (now an official euphemism) and popped out his love child, Gomez was the only woman linked to the perky star.

She was hosting the event at which Bieber was performing. Would the lovebirds put on a show of unity for the cameras? Would Justin dry hump and grope Selena without his no-leak pull ups and prove the 30-seconds allegations wrong? Would Selena come dressed a crocheted toilet roll cover?

Metallica Rock Bangalore After Delhi Riot: Photos

WHEN Metallica cancelled their gig in Delhi fans among the 25,000 crowd rioted and smashed the stage up. Anorak finds this encouraging. Isn’t that what rock fans ought to do?

Police have now arrested four executives of DNA Entertainment Network following allegations that refunds were not forthcoming fast enough.

The band stated:

“Once we, along with DNA, the promoters of the show, determined that there was a failure of a security barricade in front of the stage that could not be adequately repaired, the promoter reluctantly announced the postponement of the show until Saturday. Unfortunately, on such short notice the promoters were unable to secure a permit for a show on Saturday.”

Noel Gallagher Bans Music Journalist Who Wrote Unflattering Review From Gig

NOEL Gallagher has reacted to a review in the Edinburgh Evening News’ by banning the paper’s chief music writer, Gary Flockhart, from his gig at Usher Hall.

Flockhart says Gallagher’s latest work, High Flying Birds, is a “letdown” and a “big disappointment”.

The request for tickets was met replied to by Gallagher’s PR agent, Simon Blackmore of Black Arts PR.

“Sorry Gary – not going to be able to spare any (is ridiculously oversubscribed and can’t fit everybody in). That piece you wrote about him last week didn’t exactly help your cause to be honest.”

Justin Bieber And Busta Rhymes Kill Christmas: Little Drummer Boy Must Die

HOW dead do you think Christmas can be? If you’re thinking that it’s already a bloated corpse, thanks to over-commercialisation and the like, you have to admit that it’s still pretty cool because at least you get a decent feed and some free stuff just for being alive on the day itself.

However, you’ll probably want to end your life in case there’s a slender chance that someone buys you the Justin Bieber Christmas LP.

And, aside from the obvious, what’s so bad about that?

“I have no desire whatsoever to desecrate the grave of seminal Manchester pop group The Stone Roses” – John Squire, 2009

“We’ve rehearsed, we’ve written songs and in some ways it seems like 15 years ago. It’s quite strange” John Squire, 2011

Who Needs Lyrics? Not This Lot

LYRICS. Who needs ’em? They’re just dumb words getting in the way of a perfectly decent melody (much like the way these words are getting in the way of the video they’re promoting – what a world!).

Many people look at old songs and thrill at the poetry, lambasting new music for being about little more than money and bitches. However, throughout history, music hasn’t always gave a hoot about the words. Look at Surfin’ Bird for starters.

Anyway, in a fine, fine video, some musicians have got together to praise the lyricless bits of pop history.

RIP Sylvia Robinson Mother Of Hip-Hop: The Sugar Hill Gang Tribute

STEPHEN Saban remembers Sylvia Robinson, the mother of hip-hop:

RIP Sylvia Robinson, frequently credited as “the mother of hip-hop,” died early this morning of congestive heart failure in a New Jersey hospital. She was 75. Before she and her husband Joe Robinson formed Sugar Hill Records in 1979, Sylvia had a pretty nice career as an R&B singer, partnered with Mickey Baker in the duo called Mickey & Sylvia, whose “Love Is Strange” was a #1 hit in 1956. In 1973, without Mickey, she wrote and performed the song “Pillow Talk.”

In 1979, All Platinum, the pre-Sugar Hill label she founded with husband Joe, was in serious financial trouble when, according to the New York Times, a lightbulb lit up over her head the night she went to a party in Harlem and heard people rapping over the instrumental breaks in disco songs. Using her son as a talent scout, she hired three young New York City rappers – Big Bank Hank, Wonder Mike, and Master Gee – to record improvised raps over a rhythm track adapted from Chic’s “Good Times.” The three rappers became the Sugar Hill Gang, the record was “Rapper’s Delight,” and it reached #4 on the R&B charts. That session arguably was the birth of rap and hip-hop. Later, the label would sign Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, who recorded “The Message” and paved the way for gangsta rap. So, yeah, that “mother of hip-hop” moniker was justly deserved.
