JIMMY Savile, the predatory paedophile, was employed by the BBC. A letter in Rupert Murdoch’s Sun (he also owns BBC rival Sky – a broadcaster Britons with a telly are not obliged on pain of law to fund) explains the entire story so far. Is “ANON” Murdoch’s nom de plume?

Chantelle Houghton tears Alex Reid a new hole on Twitter
ONE of the more uncomfortable relationships to clutter up the gossip columns has been that of Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton. Basically, she’s rather dim but sweet and Alex Reid is… well… a professional Thing To Occupy Some Space. Reid had Katie Price, showed himself off to be a cross-dresser and won some reality shows.

What Dickie Arbiter knew about Jimmy Savile (Jeffrey Epstein is away)
DICKIE Arbiter (real name!) is the latest person to say he suspected Jimmy Savile. Dickie Arbiter (pictured) was the Queen’s spokesman between 1988 and 2000:
Savile met Prince Charles many times. Savile says he took Princess Diana’s secrets to his grave. Arbiter says:
“He would walk into the office and do the rounds of the young ladies taking their hands and rubbing his lips all the way up their arms if they were wearing short sleeves. If it was summer…his bottom lip would curl out and he would run it up their arms. This was at St James’s Palace. The women were in their mid to late 20s doing typing and secretarial work… “I looked at him as a court jester and told him so. I remember calling him an old reprobate and he said ‘not so much of the old’.”

Find out what links Gary Glitter, Jimmy Savile and John Peel
GARY Glitter has been arrested. Paul Gadd, for it is he, the paedo pop pariah, has been arrested by police investigating Jimmy Savile.
Gadd, 68, has, of course, already done time for sexual offences against children. Back in 2006, he was arrested in Vietnam in 2006 for child sex offences.
The copper from Operation Yewtree tells one and all:
“The man, from London, was arrested at approximately 0715 on suspicion of sexual offences. The individual falls under the strand of the investigation we have termed ‘Savile and others’.”

Justin Bieber fans never fell for #baldforbiebers prank – but the media did
DID you shave your head for Justin Bieber in an act of solidarity with the cancer-stricken singer? The Entertainment Weekly’s Twitter feed told the world:
“Pop Star Justin Bieber was diagnosed with cancer earlier this morning. Bieber fans are shaving their heads to show their support.”
The world saw the photos of two apparent Bieber lovers with shaven heads.

WHEN famous people tie the knot, they tend to throw their cash around a fair it. KERRY Katona says he will know that she’s dead when Gina D’Acampo, Fern Britton, Coleen Nolan and Ant ‘n’ Dec, turn up at her funeral. * Great and momentous times we have had, the ladies and I. Monumental and magnificent. Tender, sometimes touching, but never turbulent. From single situations to team-handed times, girls have taught, trimmed and trained me up to Olympian standards.
* From that day to this there have been trains and, with apologies to the hit parade, boats and planes (I am a member of the 40,000ft club) and bushes and fields, corridors, doorways, floors, chairs, slag heaps, desks and probably everything except the celebrated chandelier and ironing board.
* The officeress was dissuaded from bringing charges against me by her colleagues for it was well known that were I to go, I would probably take half the station with me.
* On one of my trips to France I had walked into a shop to ask a price and there was a lady behind the counter. The counter was also the same height as my pelvic bone… Hands in trouser pockets I leaned foward to speak, bit before I could utter a word over-balanced and rocked back and forth, perfectly balanced by the hips. As I couldn’t get my trapped hands out of my trouser pockets I was well stuck, and the alarmed lady summoned her husband with loud Gallic cries. He levered me upright, but as I couldn’t speak French at the time, all I could do was smile like Charlie Chaplin and bow out.
* One second I was there, the next, all that was left was an old raincoat.

Radio 1 DJ Tony Blackburn: “He was just a complete one-off. I think he was a bit of a lonely character as well. In the privacy of his own life I don’t think he had very many friends. I’ve never known anyone quite like him. He was a blunt speaking northerner, but also kind and very respectful.”
Prince Charles: “The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are saddened to hear of Jimmy Savile’s death and their thoughts are with his family at this time.”
Alan Franey, former Chief Executive of Broadmoor Hospital: “I spent a lot of time with him and would say I knew him probably as well as anybody else knew him…I spoke to him last Wednesday and asked him how he was, and he said he was feeling very tired and short of breath. Mentally, he was very alert. But he said to me: ‘I’m coming to the end of the tunnel’…He spent a lot of his life involved in raising [money for] charity and was passionate about helping people. Jimmy had a very normal upbringing but it was a tough upbringing and he never forgot his roots. He felt that he was in a situation where he could raise funds for people using his position in showbiz and he successfully did that.”

This letter says BBC tried to gag Question Time panel on Jimmy Savile Newsnight story
JULIA Ockenden is Head of Public Affairs at the BBC. She wrote a letter to Tory chairman Grant Shapps. The BBC wanted the Newsnight story squashed. She says the “notion that internal pressure was applied [to canning Newsnight’s investigation into Savile’s sex abuse] is a malicious rumour…” Schapps should not discuss such untruth on the BBC’s Question Time. Vivienne Westwood makes a showy visit to Julian Assange
DAME Vivienne Westwood has made a trip to the Embassy of Ecuador, London, to visit Wikileaks founder and current asylum seeker Julian Assange. She wore a T-shirt with the slogan “I am Julian Assange“. Whoah! Slow down. T-shirts can lie. Julian Assange is not a woman. Westwood also went equipped with a bottle of 2009 Chateau Liversan Haut Medoc. The wine is 50% Merlot with 49% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc. It’s £9 a bottle at Waitrose.
