Those CIA Waterboarding Documents In Full
The American Civil Liberties Union has seen CIA documents that mention waterboarding.
After CIA Director Michael Hayden publicly admitted that the CIA has, in fact, waterboarded detainees, the agency could no longer cling to its last excuses for covering up the use of the very word “waterboarding” in CIA records. As a result, yesterday we obtained several heavily redacted documents in response to an ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit brought by the ACLU and other organizations seeking documents related to the treatment of prisoners in U.S. custody overseas.
While the documents do, in fact, reveal the word “waterboarding” or some variation, they leave pretty much everything else to the imagination.
Such is the freedom of information…

Pyjamas In Shanghai, And Dewsbury
SNAPPER Justin Guariglia has just published a book called Planet Shanghai:
The prevalence of pyjamas, Guariglia explained to me, was due to both the extreme summer heat and the lack of plumbing. Most Shanghaians share outdoor communal toilets and thus the boundaries of what was considered one’s home have expanded past people’s houses to the public bathrooms. Once that relaxation of the dress code became acceptable (starting around the 1980s) the perimeter for p.j.-wear just kept expanding until many people were wearing them day in day out.
They wear them in Dewsbury, too…

Google Maps And A Boy About To Shoot
GOOGLE is a company the prides itself on being fun. It’s the corporate executive in the 1990s shorts and location T-shirt.

In the 1970s, he’d have had big hair and talked about “the Man”.

Flashing, Kerb Crawling And Drug Dealing With Google View
GOOGLE’s Street View is maintained by men who crawl around in vans spying on you. It offers ground-level, 360-degree views of streets in 30 U.S. cities.
The cameras have so far captured drugs deals, prostitution and now a flasher.
The EU may seek to ban it being allowed over here.
“Making pictures everywhere is certainly going to create some problems,” European Union Data Protection Supervisor Peter Hustinx told a news conference to present his annual report.
Google sees the problem and has taken to blurring people’s faces, meaning it can still you but you can’t see you.
Much better and less sinister…

The Top Three American Anti-Immigration Protestors Ever
SAYS the San Francisco Chronicle of an anti-immigration rally in Texas:
“Excellent point: In Houston, a Texan protesting amnesty for illegal immigrants argues that anyone who can’t master English doesn’t deserve to live in America.”
It might be ironic, sorry, colonic?
