New York Governor David Paterson Drops Out
NEW York’s black, blind and beleaguered Democrat governor David Paterson will not seek re-election.
He wanted to. He announced that he’d run. But support was thinner than Victoria Beckham’s diet sheet.
Pateson rose to the job after Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned after he was caught using a prostitution ring.
On the day after his appointment he admitted using cocaine and he and his wife had a series of affairs, and did what any shrewd politico would do: he asked for forgiveness. The alleged crack-head then allegedly carried on as before. There are rumours of womanising and drug use.

Gordon Brown The Bully And The Andy Coulson Matter
THE Gordon Brown bullying row limps on. But what of Andy Coulson? Bullying expert Christine Pratt promotes her cause; the Sun guns for Brown; Andrew Rawnsley’s book gets loadsa publicity; and Sarah Brown takes time out from her misison to be photographed with every celebrity in the land to say:
“People have heard me talk about him and they probably know everything that I would have to say about him. I know him as a strong, hardworking decent man and he isn’t anything else.”
And what else? Well, Madame Arcati reports on something you’re not reading about:
TORY leader David Cameron calls for an inquiry into Gordon Brown’s “bullying” conduct towards his staff with the suggestion he’s unfit for high office. Quite right. But what a pity Cameron didn’t call for an inquiry into – and has not publicly addressed once – the bullying conduct of someone very close to himself, the Tory media boss Andy Coulson. Last year, the former editor’s bullying of a sports reporter cost the News of the World £800,000 before costs – a record award for workplace bullying.
Sadly The Times, which laudably publishes a leader today on the bullying claims against the PM – labelling bullies “weak” – was not moved to comment on Coulson’s offence at the time.
Come to think of it, why hasn’t the National Bullying Helpline – which has confirmed Number 10 staff concerns about the PM – made an issue of Coulson? Questions, questions. Rhetorical.
The Coulson Case – The Guardian reports:
Matt Driscoll, a sports reporter sacked in April 2007 while on long-term sick leave for stress-related depression, was awarded £792,736 by the east London employment tribunal. It is believed to be the highest payout of its kind in the media, and legal costs could take News International’s total bill well over the £1m mark…
Driscoll, who has not been in a full-time job since his dismissal, said the award reflected the severity of the case.
“Andy Coulson was at the heart of all of this,” he said. “He should look at himself and decide if his actions in the course of the way I was treated were correct. If I were him, I would find it very hard to look in the mirror. I was subjected to unprecedented bullying and he did nothing to stop it, if anything he accelerated it. I didn’t do anything wrong”…
The tribunal found in December 2008 that Driscoll had fallen victim to “a consistent pattern of bullying behaviour”. “The original source of the hostility towards the claimant [Driscoll] was Mr Coulson, the editor; although other senior managers either took their lead from Mr Coulson and continued with his motivation after Mr Coulson’s departure; or shared his views themselves. Mr Coulson did not attend the tribunal to explain why he wanted the claimant dismissed.”
The News of the World, which defended the case, said the main reason for Driscoll’s dismissal was his capability or qualifications for performing his work.

The Mail’s report is a bastion of facts:
Tebbit, 77, “was so upset by the noise caused by a Chinese New Year celebration near his home that he ran 100 yards down the street, grabbed a drum that someone was banging, and planted a kick on the backside of a dancing dragon – without realising a boy was inside.”
Easy mistake to make. Dragons are everywhere. Enoch was right. You let in one reptile and before you know it, it’s dragons everywhere.

Coke Fiend Gordon Brown Calls Anti-Bullying Hotline About Rupert Murdoch
THE ELECTION looms and Gordon Brown and David Cameron are striving to see if they can whip the country into frenzy of side-taking not seen since Team Katie took on Team Peter.
Look out for tears on the telly (Gordon’s done that on Piers Morgan), loadsa airbrushing and a debate on which of Dave and Gordon is going to f*** the country in a reverse cowboy.
The Sun has taken side and now piles in on Gordon Brown by calling him the “PRIME MONSTER”.

“Scared Downing St staff called anti-bullying helpline”
Know that:
STAFF working for Gordon Brown at No10 have contacted an anti-bullying helpline amid claims they live in terror of the PM, it emerged last night. The revelation follows allegations Mr Brown verbally attacked and manhandled staff.
Brown denies the allegations of bullying put in a new book The End Of The Party by political commentator Andrew Rawnsley. Says Brown:
“If I get angry, I get angry with myself … I throw the newspapers on the floor or something like that, but please … I was brought up – my father, I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone and I always think when you’re – the heat of the moment you say things some time, of course you do get angry, mostly with yourself.”
On that theme, was Osama bin Laden’s dad prone to tempers tantrums or a bastion of peace? Rumours of the Dalai Lama’s dad being a hot-head refuse to go away.
Anyhow, mindful of this, the Sun hears from Christine Pratt, who runs the National Bullying Helpline. The vested–interest group weighs in:
“We have had three or four calls from within his office.”
What was said? Threats?
“Over recent months we have had several inquiries from staff within Gordon Brown’s office. Some called our helpline directly and I have spoken to staff in his office.”
In the strictest confidence, of course. As for the accsations:
In an explosive new book Mr Brown is accused of:
Accusation: “TURFING a stunned secretary out of her chair and taking over her keyboard because she was ‘not typing fast enough’.”
Spin: He can do it all.
Accusation: “SHOVING aside and swearing at long-serving senior adviser Stewart Wood after he arranged a lunchtime reception for EU ambassadors.”
Spin: EU scum!
Accusation: “The PM is said to have told Mr Wood: ‘Why are you making me meet these f****** people?'”
Spin: Well, why? Scum!
Accusation: “LEAPING across a room and grabbing Deputy Chief of Staff Gavin Kelly by the collar after Revenue and Customs lost disks containing personal data of 20 million people.”
Spin: You’ll believe a man can fly!
Accusation: “SWINGING back his arm and clenching his fist after getting more unwelcome news while in the back of his official car.”
Spin: All the guns are in Afghanistan.
Accusation: “BECOMING ‘incandescent’ when he heard a paper was to reveal his conference speech borrowed phrases from US politicians.”
Spin: Brown is an alternative source of het and light.
Accusation: “THROWING Coke cans and pens at staff.”
Spin: Pens and Coke all round! Who wants crisps?
In other news, a ‘Mr GB’ has called the Anti-bullying hotline to complain about Rupert Murdoch. All call are treated in the strictest confidence, so we can’t tell you that GB said that he’d like to punch the little **** in the throat…

Barack Obama’s Tiger Woods’ Diplomacy Hides The Dalai Lama From China
WHILE you were reading about Israeli forces and MOSSAD maybe taking out a Hamas miltary leader – no, not in bussload of civilians but in a hit that owes more to Austin Powers than James Bond (we see the faces and the CCTV – how’s that for top secrecy?) China this morning protested over USA President Barack Obama’s meeting yesterday with Tibet’s Delai Lama.
Did you hear about it on the front pages or the headline news? No? The Delia Lama is a totem that politicians meet to make themselves look good. Nelson Mandela is busy.
THE calling in of the USA Ambassador for a stiff talking to was expected but unnecessary since when the two Nobel Peace Prize winners met yesterday the Tibetan and Buddhism Spiritual Leader was given the tradesmen’s entrance treatment.

BNP Welcomes First Asian Member And Everyone From The Bien Pee Club
THE BNP is gearing up for the election by opening up its membership to prove that racists can be black, white, beige and of all the religions of the world, under pain of law.
(The British National Party allows black, Asian, Muslim, Hindu and other persons to join because continuing to ban them breaches race-relation laws.)
Nick Griffin says that “they can no longer call us racist”. Who they are he does to say, but they might be in with them. It’s the enemy within. Dominc Kennedy (white) joined the rainbow throng:
One man grabbed my nose and tried to remove it from my face. I was seized and shoved out of the door towards a parked car. I threw my hands out to steady myself. A BNP thug snarled: “Don’t touch people’s cars mate.” Obviously, I offered no resistance.
I had gone to the Elm Park pub in Hornchurch to report on a press conference at which Nick Griffin, MEP for North West England and chairman of the British National Party, was to explain how his activists had just passed an historic membership reform.
Although I had been invited, one prominent BNP politician had taken exception to an article in Saturday’s edition of The Times. After he lost his temper with me I was quickly shoved and lifted out of the building, hit in the back and had my face squashed.

Daily Mirror Accuses Tory Treasurer Michael Spencer of ‘Cashing In’ On 9/11, Offers Apology
WAS it brave of foolish of the Mirror to take on Tory Treasurer Michael Spencer in an article entitled, “CASHING IN ON 9/11”?
Tory treasure Michael Spencer shamelessly poached key figures from a rival finance firm while it was still grieving the loss of 658 staff in the Twin Towers terror attack.
Grim stuff. The article is equipped with a shot of a beaming Spencer stood by David Cameron, another shot of Spencer holding a bottle of champers and a picture of the Twin Towers ablaze. Subtle it ain’t.
The other firm, readers learn, was Cantor Fitzgerald, a firm that lost its New York staff on that terrible day.
But as they came to terms with the death of their friends in the US, scheming billionaire Spencer was plotting to lure staff to his broking firm ICAP – despite a pledge to Cantor boss Lee Amaitis he would stay away. He even cynically referred to the snatch as a ‘heist’.

How Those Jews Did For True Liberal Jenny Tonge
LIBERAL Peer Baroness Tonge is not anti-semitic. But she did see a video on YouTube about Jews, sorry, Isrealis going to Haiti to steal human organs .Well, yes, it is a terrible story and based on nothing but racism and the old libels but it would be helpful if the Jews, sorry, Israelis, explained in full detail how it is untrue with lots of proof. Or, well, how do we know?
In a statement to the JC, she said the Israel Defence Forces were “to be commended for their fantastic response to the Haitian earthquake”.
But she added: “To prevent allegations such as these — which have already been posted on YouTube — going any further, the IDF and the Israeli Medical Association should establish an independent inquiry immediately to clear the names of the team in Haiti.”

Jim Devine Poll: Pig, Hamza, Fool, Innocent Or Fighter – You Choose
JIM Devine MP, David Chaytor MP, Elliott Morley MP and Conservative peer Lord Hanningfield who have all been charged with offences of false accounting arising from their expenses claims by the CPS. This is the start. The big question is which picture to laed with for Mr Divine.

As for the case:
It is alleged that Morley dishonestly claimed mortgage expenses of £14,428 and £16,000, respectively.
Mr Chaytor, MP for Bury North, is alleged to have claimed dishonestly £1,950 for IT services by using false invoices and renting a property that, er, he owned.
He is accused of then renting a property in Bury, Lancashire, from his dear old mum.
Mr Divine, MP for Livingston, did, allegedly, between July 2008 and April 2009, uses bogus invoices to dishonestly claim £3,240 and worked the same trick in the matter of £5,505 of stationery.
Lord Hanningfield denies six cases of false accounting. The allegation – and enjoy this – sis that the shadow transport minister submitted claims for overnight expenses for staying in London when he in did in fact drive home or stay elsewhere. That’s transport for you – shadowy, allegedly. Says he:
“I am extremely disappointed by today’s announcement that I am to be charged. All the claims I have ever made were made in good faith. I have co-operated fully with the police throughout their inquiries. I totally refute the charges and will vigorously defend myself against them. I have never claimed more in expenses than I have spent in the course of my duties. To avoid any embarrassment or distraction for my party, I am standing down from my frontbench duties in the House of Lords with immediate effect.”
Mr Morley, Mr Chaytor, Mr Devine and Lord Hanningfield all say there are innocent.
