A Car Video: A Car That Likes Skipping
YOU there! You may like your little motorcar that gets you to work everyday, fond of the cute way only you can work the clutch and have to punch the stereo before it works… but hear this – your car is rubbish.
In fact, all of your cars are rubbish compared to the one owned by some lunatic in – where else? – America.
As you may well be aware, folks in The States like hydraulics and bump their vehicles around while listening to ear-melting reggaeton or whatever.

Six Swedish Drag Queens Sought For Lincoln Pub Fight
“There was some nasty violence. Clearly we don’t want that sort of thing going on. It may have had something to do with the way they were dressed. One of them was hit over the head with a chair. It looked like a scene from a Carry On movie with these busty blondes fighting these blokes. But this was a serious fight and we need to make sure no one gets away with this level of violence.”
Odd way to condemn violence, by comparing it to a much-loved British comedy staple.
* Proof that they were not Swedish women has yet to be confirmed.

Alex Karpenko’s Shaving Spade Enters The Bathroom Arms Race
MEET Alex Karpenko. The 35-year-old English teacher from Nizhny Novgrod, Russia shaves with a sharpened metal spade.
Says he:
“Razors are an expensive, unnecessary luxury. He told me that during the war he used to shave using anything. I was so impressed I decided to do the same. I must say though, when my wife first saw me standing in the bathroom with an axe to my throat she was pretty horrified. So I decided to hang up the axe and use a sharpened shovel instead – I think it’s probably a bit safer.”

Hughes Brothers Lift The Criccieth Feat Stone
TO Criccieth, Gwynedd town, where brothers Reuben and Dafydd Hughes, are passing the hottest day of the year lifting a massive stone weighting between 25-28 stones.
Says Reuben, who works with stone walls and fencing:
“I was a bit nervous when I first saw it, but I thought that as I worked with stones almost every day I had a good chance. We both managed to do it, though Dafydd was first.”
Why do it? Well, why not. Stir some civic and national pride into stone lifting and you have a sport.
Before the brothers lifted it, the last man who attempted to raise the stone off the ground was Roger Davis, aka Fianna Clansman, from Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. He’s putting stone lifting on the map by touring the country lifting the co-called Feat Stones, of which the Criccieth monolith is one. Having failed in his mission, he declared it would take “a world class strength athlete” to lift the stone.

That Stupid Whale Tries To Make Friends With An Engine
EVER since that episode of The Simpsons aired, where dolphins started walking around and killing everyone, humans have had a very real fear of our sea-dwelling chums rising up and handing our arses to us in a lobster pot.
Or is that just us?
Either way, we needn’t worry because everything in the sea is so ridiculously dim, that we can have a great time polluting their habitat and harpooning them through the face without fear of repercussion.
Unless you count plankton. We don’t trust plankton one bit.
So what gave us the notion that the creatures of the sea are more stupid than a boxset of The Only Way Is Essex? Well, take whales. Whales seem pretty smart don’t they? They sing and have sonar. However, they also try to make friends with out-board engines on boats, to the point where they’ve actually bothered to learn how to do an impression of one.
Watch this video and sleep easier tonight, knowing that, while whales may resent us humans, they’ll be too busy trying to stir up a rebellion with inanimate objects.
The dicks.

Vauxhall Frontera Fails In Second Bid To Reach Snowdon Summit
THERE’S a Vauxhall Frontera close to the summit of Mount Snowdon. It’s parked near the summit visitors centre.
It’s the same car that was on the mountain earlier in the year. Back then, Craig Williams admitted that he had driven it:
“There’s no plan of action as we speak, there wasn’t to begin with. Out of a list of 50 things to do before you die, this was one of them. If you think that was on top of the list, the other 49 are now not going to be done.”

Lancashire Sex Club Complains About Banging From Next Door
So says the Lancashire Evening Post of rumblings in Chorley:
A recording studio boss says he will not be forced out despite noise complaints from the owners of a swingers’ club.

The story is evocative:
Lee Morrison has launched a music recording studio called 1st Bass Music Solutions in the same building as The No3 Club at the mill on Friday Street. Theatre company Say Two Theatre Productions had previously been based in the mill – but moved out after parents of the children attending rehearsals complained that members of the adult club were mistakenly walking into their room.
