MUG Shot of The Day features the eight faces of the Swartzentruber Amish sect jailed by Kentucky District Court Judge Deborah Hawkins Crook for refusing to pay fines for failing to stick orange safety triangles to their horse-drawn buggies. Are they victims of health and safety gone mad.

AIDS Drugs Makes Man Grow Breasts: Photos
JOSEPH Mkanada has grown breasts as a result of his AIDS medication. He and other men were being given anti-retroviral (ARV) drugs.
Says Mr Mkanda from his home in Mtwara, Tanzania:
“I feel very much ashamed to go out of my house, because I have developed breasts like a woman. I fear that other people would laugh at me.
“I went to one of the medical doctors in my village, who told me that such signs were normal for people suffering from AIDS who have been taking the drugs for a long time. At the moment, I don’t know what to do or where to go.”

CHRIS “The Duchess” Walton shows off her record breaking fingernails in New York, Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011. The Duchess holds the world’s record for the longest fingernails on a pair of female hands, according to the new Guinness World Records 2012 book. Spalding Man Pays Damages To Dead Hedgehog He Defecated On
VICTOR Ford, 34, has been fined for pooing on a dead hedgehog in Balmoral Avenue, Spalding, Lincolnshire, at 1.20pm on July 3.
Ford has already pleased not guilty at Spalding Magistrates’ Court to a charge of outraging public decency. The Crown Prosecution Service altered the crime to a lesser public order charge and Ford accepted it.

Anti-Smoking Lobby Forces Shirly The Orangutan To Quit
THE anti-smoking lobby have forced Shirley the orangutan to quit the dreaded (surely sublime?– ed) weed.
Melaka Zoo Director Ahmad Azhar Mohammed says there will be no more cigarettes for Shirley because “smoking is not normal behaviour for orangutans“.

Did Scottish Artist Willie Garner Draw Blueprints For 9/11 Attack On Twin Towers? Picture Proof!
DID Willie Gardner inspire the or even mastermind the attack on New York’s World Trade Centre on September 11 2001? Did he draw the blueprints?
Sadly, we will never know. Mr Gardner died last year. He was 78. All we can do is look at the chalk drawing he made of a a boyish Osama bin Laden in front of the twin Towers.
The Daily Mail describes it thus:
His artwork shows the falling locks of the child’s hair spiralling downwards, which looks like fire and smoke billowing into the sky from one of the towers.

Woman Dies After Injecting Her Face With Hot Beef Fat
TO Homewood, Chicago, where Janet Hardt, 63, is dead. Police says she died as a result of injecting hot beef fat into her face.
It is thought that he had enacted this procedure many times before, injecting the hot beef fat into her mouth and chin. A source tells the Chicago Sun Times that Hardt complained of a burning sensation. She went to the hospital. She later died.

Mr Jailin’s Breast Grope Caught On Speed Camera: He Says It’s A Police Fit Up
TO China, where businessman and motorist Deng Jialin Chinese has been captured on a speed camera groping the brest of his female passenger. Deng Jialin was breaking the speed limit as he drove his Nissan at 60mph in the 50mph zone between Santai and Shehong in Sichuan Province. He has been fined.
But that was not enough. The local police published the image of Jailin (and how’s that for a miscreant’s name, readers?) in local media. Jailin is not best pleased. He says the iamge is in breach of his privacy and has been digitally manipulated. He is threatening to sue the Mianyang Traffic Bureau.
To compound his misery, it transpires that the woman is not Jailin’s wife. It is a “university student”.

Dog Eating Man Eaten By Dogs
FIRST we told you about pigs eating humans in Ghana. Now from Indonesia comes a story of seven dogs who devoured their owner.
Andre Lumboga had returned from a holiday to his Manado home. The 50-year left his bags at the front door and went inside.
A few days later, a neighbour saw the bags and grew concerned. He approached the house. He picked up a bad smell. He called the police.

Mr Weiner Wants To Ban Nude Hot Dog Eating In San Francisco
THE City Supervisor of San Francisco wants to outlaw nudity in public. He wants nudists to no longer be nudists. He wants them to wear clothes on the public beaches. He wants them to wear towels in eateries. Says he:
“San Francisco is a liberal and tolerant city, and we pride ourselves on that fact. Yet, while we have a variety of views about public nudity, we can all agree that when you sit down naked, you should cover the seat, and that you should cover up when you go into a food establishment.”

Great Grandmas Gets False Breasts And ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ Tattoos: Photos
WE were going to tell you about Liverpool great grandma Joan Lloyd, who at 65 spent just under five grand on a big new chest. Reports are that the new F-Cup boobs are helping Joan score dates with men as young as 24. We don’t get to see the state of Joan’s dates. There age is all.
Instead we will tell you about Joy Tomkins, 81, of Downham Market, Norfolk, who has had her chest tattooed. The ink declares “Do Not Resuscitate”. It’s dark and Gothic. It’s the kind of tattoo that shames young Goths and punks. Add to thank her name – Joy – and Mrs Tomkins is unbearably cool.
On her back, Joan has another tattoo, this one says ”PTO” over an arrow. She hopes this will mean any medics do not miss the chest tattoo (and hot dates see the colour of her eyes).

The official version of events is that the moose got drunk on rotten apples and thought it would be a laugh to climb a tree.

Dying Newspaper Saves Women Trapped In Patio Chair
LOCAL News Story of The Day takes us to Liberty Hill, Texas, where Evelyn Rogers, 75, has become trapped in her garden furniture. It is early evening and Rogers sits on her chair. She spots a length of plastic sticking out from under the seat. She gives it a tug. The chair rips. She tumbles through the hole. The chair’s aluminium frame closes on her. She is stuck.
Evelyn’s chihuahua Lucy looks on.
Says Evelyn:
“I screamed until I couldn’t scream anymore. I told myself I couldn’t scream anymore because it wouldn’t do any good because there were no real close neighbors.”

Massive Man-Eating Crocodile Caught In Philippines: Photos
TO the Philippines where a 21-ft long 12,370lb slat water estuarine crocodile has been caught.
Locals in the village of Bunawan have been hunting the beast since mid-August.
Plans are for it to be rehoused in a nature park.
The AFP says the croc was “trapped after a spate of fatal attacks”.

Colonel Gaddafi Is Hiding In Sheffield On Way To Gateshead: Photo
LOCAL News Story of The Day comes to us via the Sheffield Star wherein we learn of goings on at The Party Town shop on Ecclesall Road. Outside the store the mannequin dressed up as Colonel Gaddafi and carrying a sign saying “You ain’t seen me right!” is causing offence.“A couple of police officers came in and said ‘What’s that supposed to be outside?’. They said it was culturally offensive and asked us to take it down.”

Man Eating Pigs Run Riot In Ghana
MAN-eating pigs are at large in Ghana.
Pigs have invaded Birem. They are digging up graves and eating human carcasses
The pigs then drink from the local river, thus polluting it with bits of dead human flesh.
The Biremhene, Nana Baffuor Agyekum, makes an appeal. He’s talking with local telly host Ali Baba:
“I am, on behalf of my people, passionately appealing to the government to come to our aid by instructing the pig owners to provide shelter for the pigs to stop them from entering the cemetery.”
