Man Steals Five Snakes In Trousers
ERIC Fiegel is accused of entering the Predator’s Reptile Center pet shop and attempting to steal five albino boa snakes by stuffing them into his trousers.
Says Mesa Police Sgt. Ed Wessing:
“This is very unusual. In my 15 years, I’ve never heard of this ‘snake in the pants’ kind of theft, if you will.”

Women Too Drunk For Bikini wax Arrested
ANNA Katherine Bacon-Silveira, 39, of Iowa City, is under arrest. She is accused of attacking a worker at Zender beauty salon with a towel. She then ran off.
Bacon-Silverira entered the store in the pursuit of a bikin wax. The store turned away, saying that she was drunk.

Just Married Stoners Arrested For Stealing Munchies For Wedding Reception
NEWLYWEDS of the Day are Arthur Phillips III, 32, and Brittany M. Lurch, 22. They married in Pennsylvania on August 18. The reception was booked for 5:30 p.m.
At 2:30 p.m., the police got a call. Items were being stolen from Wegmans supermarket.
Phillips and Lurch were placing items into basket and leaving without paying. When arrested, the couple said the stuff was for the do.

Hull Man Sues For Accident That Saw Pressurised Hose Got Up His Anus
GARETH Durrant, 26, inflated when a compressed air hose went up his bum.
The air pressure was 300lbs per square inch
He’s at Hull County Court suing Willerby Holiday Homes for compensation.
Mr Durrant was working on the production line, where pressurised air lines hang from the ceiling waiting to be connected to power tools. He was dressed in shorts. And one of the lines went into his bottom.

Laurence Richard McGinn Accused Of Biting Face Off Liverpool Clubber
IN Liverpool, Laurence Richard McGinn, 28, allegedly, has bitten off part of another man’s nose, bits of both his ears and a lip outside the Funky Box night spot.
PC Stuart Moore told Liverpool’s licensing committee, who have revoked the club’s booze licence:
“It is horrific, sickening and it is almost barbaric, what takes place. The footage shows a fight between two males. The victim and the assailant could be seen brawling in the street. Both males fall to the floor and there’s a struggle. A second male appears to be protecting the people involved to make sure the fight continues and the assailant starts reigning blows. There are nine consecutive punches while he lies on the floor. The assailant can be seen to place his head down by the victim. He starts eating away at his face and his head. The male has had his two ears bitten off, part of his nose bitten off and half of his lip bitten off. The attack reminded me of a lion wrenching the flesh off a gazelle.”

Oldham Woman Superglues Self To Kitchen: Boyfriend Laughs
LOCAL News Story of the Day: The Oldham Evening Chronicle reports on Tina Ramsbottom, 21, of Hathershaw. In attempting to fix a broken object d’art with superglue, she caused the fingers on her left hand to become stuck together. Looking for help she finds her lover. He laughs. He calls her an idiot.
She returns to the kitchen to put the superglue out of harm’s way. She places her right hand on the kitchen work surface and…it sticks fast.

Tape has been placed across the doormat advising Mr Reyes to “move it or lose it”.

Woman Crashes Car While Giving Finger To Other Motorist
TO Tacoma, where the 23-year-old woman is giving the finger to the driver of a Subaru Outback. She is in a Ford Taurus. Rather she was. The hand gesture caused her to lose control of the vehicle and end up upside down in a ditch.

Three Public Bodies Erect And Remove A Sign For Polish And Spanish Drivers In Worcestershire
TO Worcestershire, where Network Rail is carrying out work on a level crossing in Blackminster. Worcestershire County Council wants it to provide notice of the diversion in Spanish, Polish and English. Yep, only three languages. And then the Highways Agency said that the notice “not meet the prescribed standards for such signs”.
Only three public bodies were involved in the production of a sign.

Dallas Hospital Patient Says Medics Stitched GPS Tracking Device Into His Armpit: Sues
MICHAEL Woolman says that medics at Dallas’ Baylor Medical Center removed his tonsils, cleaned his sinuses and stuffed a tracking device in his armpit. He wants justice. The Dallas Observer publishes his self-written complaint:
I was in ,”The Room after ,surgery& I needed ,to go to the bathroom .
I got up and a nurse assisted me to ,the bathroom.
I was going to the bathroom and , I finished.

Freddy Nock Auditions For Sound Of Music Sequel By Walking Up Cable Car Rope
FREDDY Nock is shoo-in for the role of Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music 2 – 3D Smack Down. Knock is the Swiss stuntman who has passed an afternoon walking up a cable car rope in Germany.
He made it to the top of Germany’s 9,000 foot Zugspitze mountain in southern Bavaria. He says it’s the “longest and highest wire walk above sea level without a balancing pole“.

Man Claimed Lost Arm To Get Insurance Money
MICHAEL Earl LeDuc Escanaba, 33, of Michigan, has been jailed for 57 months in prison for telling CUNA Mutual Group that he lost his arm in a wood chipper. His insurance policy said that if he lost a limb, it would earn him 251,000 in compensation. So he lost one – by forging his medical records.

The Greatest Silly Season Local News Story Ever: Germans, Beer, Golf And A Majorcan Holiday Bet
MOST people make friends on holiday and never see them again. They never want to. Those holiday pals are not part of the real world but a figure locked in the mists of halcyon days in the sun. But Sebastian Steinzen wanted to see his holiday friends again. Steinzen is German. And he wanted to catch up with a Portishead couple he knew only as Patrick and Pam. He knew that they drank in the Black Horse pub in Clapton-in-Gordano. Well, so they told him.
They had first met on a golfing tip to Majorca back in September 2005. Over ten days the Bristol couple, Steinzen and his lover Nina played three rounds of golf together. On the last game a bet was made. Sebastian wagered that he could get his ball to land on the green just 2m away from the flag. If he failed, he would buy Patrick a pint.

Woman Drowned In Public Swimming Pool Not Spotted For 2 Days
THE death of Marie Joseph does not speak well of the levels of care and sanitation at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Pool in Lafayette Park, Massachusetts. She drowned there. A nine-year-old boy she had been swimming with told the lifeguard. He said he’d take a look. A mere 58 hours later, her body was discovered at the bottom of the pool.
State Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Richard Sullivan tells media, as the Herald News Massachusetts reports:
Still, Sullivan did not indicate that pool employees had neglected their duties. Before a pool is locked up for the night, “we undergo a procedure with each and every one of our pools,” Sullivan said. “We believe all of those were in place here.”

Edinburgh Guesthouse Bans Rabbits – Allows Dogs and Cats: Outrage And Fury Fails To Grow
PATRICIA O’Donnell says she was surprised to find a rabbit using the shower at her Armadillo guesthouse in Edinburgh. She says she “almost had a heart attack” and spilled a jug of water down herself when she fund a rabbit living in the well-appointed shower.
Says she:
“The family – a mum, dad and daughter – checked in and about an hour later went out to visit the castle. I thought I’d better go and water the window boxes, but when I got to their door there was a ‘do not disturb’ notice on the handle. “

WITH so much rioting and money woes to report on, the UK press is in danger of undoing years of hard yakka that has created the Ausust Silly Season. So. We are forced to journey to Mexico, where Jose Maldonado, an unemployed 22-year-old bricklayer, has captured a live fairy. If you give him some cash you can see it. One news organ coughed up the readies and thanks to them you can see the fairy bathing in a dish of formaldehyde – a fairy’s favourite bath time treat.
Says he:
“I was picking guavas and I saw a twinkling. I thought it was a firefly. I picked it up and felt that it was moving; when I looked at it I knew that it was a fairy godmother.”
