Idiotic Man Drives With Bright Angus The Parrot On His Windscreen Wiper

ANGUS the parrot’s owner, Justin Lawther, perches his feathered friend on his car’s windscreen wipers and heads out on the highway.

The Australian RSPCA is “dumbfounded” by Lawther’s actions, deemed to be stupid.

RSPCA Manager of Inspectorate Services Greg Boland says:

“He has placed this parrot in a position whereby it is likely to be caused unnecessary pain or suffering, which is an offence under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and can carry severe penalties. The community and the RSPCA will not tolerate idiotic acts that place animals in danger…”

Here’s a genuine reader comment on the Mail’s website:

My house has a nice double glazed front soor and a mock tudor fronting, and looks a lot like reggie yeates. You don’t see me wasting my time sending pictures in the mail though do you?

Goose Finds Squirrel In Toilet

TO Malawi, where Duncan Goose has found a squirrel down the toilet.

Like you, we at first thought Mr Goose a rodent fetishist, or a warning to examine beneath the thickl sauvce of your meat curry. But reading on we learn that the squirrel was not evacuated form Mr Goose, rather… Well, how it got there is a mystery.

As Mr Goose says:

“It was a real shock as my immediate reaction was that it was a rat and, particularly in developing countries, they carry lots of disease. I was concerned it was going to jump out and bite me, so I put the lid back down and left it for a minute as I wasn’t sure what to do.”

A: Leave it to drown.

B: Find another toilet.

C: Save it.

D: Make joke about hiding your nuts.

Mr Goose chose option E:  help.

“In the end I put a hand towel down the toilet, allowed it to climb up, put it in a laundry basket, took it outside and released it back into the wild and it didn’t seem too much the worse for wear so hopefully it’s recovered from the experience and will go on to have a happy life devoid of toilet bowl experiences.”

It’s what we each of us pray for as we sit on the throne…

Kent Students Filming Death Scene Find Dead Body

WHILE shooting a death scene for their project,  film undergraduates from Canterbury Christ Church University found a real dead body at Botany Bay in Broadstairs.

Says student Dave Larke, 48:

“It was a bit freaky to say the least. Our actress looked up and saw a bloke pulling something out of the sea, then she suddenly realised it was a dead body. We went over to see if the guy was all right with it because we could see he was having trouble with his phone. And just to make sure that we weren’t wrong in what we had seen. I was probably a foot away from it at the closest point, which wasn’t nice at all.”

Riding The Severn Bore: Photos

THE Severn Bore * is a large tidal wave that moves up the estuary of the River Severn. The Atlantic waters enters the Bristol Channel and continue into the Severn Estuary. The Severn tidal range is the 2nd highest in the world – as high as 14.5metres. (The Severn bore is bettered only by the Bay of Fundy in Canada.) As the sea moves up against the flow of water, surfers try to ride the 2m-high wave.

* Not to be confused with Bill Oddie on an episode of nature watch does Gloucestershire.
