Armed Police Surround Cheadle Factory: Cricketers’ Six Shooters Explode

ARMED police have surrounded the Power Star in Cheadle. There have been reports of gunfire.

Says Mohammed Ijaz, 25, from inside the building:

“We’d been watching the England match and finished work so thought we may as well play cricket. We were just messing around and could hear shouting saying ‘Come out! Come out!’.

“At first we carried on as we didn’t realise it was to do with us. But when we realised it was, we headed outside and as soon as we opened the door we could see lots of armed police. It was a bit of a shock but they were just doing their job.”

Woman With 71 Heroin Balls In Vagina Arouses Suspicion

AT the Kostrzyn border crossing in Poland, 23-year-old Katarzyna Szymanska has half a kilo of heroin shaped into 71 balls. Says a customs worker:

“There was something about the way she was walking that raised our suspicions. She seemed very uncomfortable and could barely walk a step without wincing in pain.”

Thief Hanging From Fence In Hartlepool Calls 999 For Help

DAVID Stokle is hanging from the fence of a property in Casebourne Road, Hartlepool. He is hanging by a shoelace – one attached to his shoe. The thief – he was robbing metal – cannot free himself. He reaches into his pocket and retrieves his mobile phone. He calls the fire brigade. They tell the police.

New Yorker Used Onions To Torture Drugs Dealers

TO New York’s Queens borough, where Erick Mejia is accused of stuffing drug dealers’ heads into bags of onions.

It is alleged that in February 2008 Mjias and others of his crew looking to rob drugs dealers were in Raleigh, North Carolina. Brooklyn Federal Court. hears that Mejia posed a police to stop of a drug supplier. With their ‘police car’ and badges, the got a man to pull over. They then kidnapped him. They tied up the man, his wife and his child. Then came the onions.

Pastor Proves Sun Is 500 Miles Above Earth

IN the forums, we get to meet Pastor Billy-Reuben Gibson. He’s a cleric, at Landover Baptist Church – “Proud to be God’s Authority on Earth”. he thinks the sun is 500 miles above the Earth.

The sun is roughly 491.1 miles overhead. Depending on the exact shade of yellow (whether it’s closer to 570nm or 580nm), this figure could be off by as much as 5 miles. However, I don’t have a spectrometer handy, and I’m willing to live with an uncertainty of ±5 miles. It’s not like I’m planning to visit anytime soon — my shoes would melt .

The LORD is so good to me. Praise the sweet name of Jesus.

Medic Stole Accident Victim’s Severed Foot To Train Dog

ANORAK spots Cynthia “Cindy” Economou. She’s a paramedic with the St. Lucie County Fire District. She’s  attending crash scene on Interstate 95 in September 2008. That’s her making off with Karl Lambert’s severed foot.

Lambert is now suing her. She says he took the foot to help train her body recovery dog. She says:

“It was an unrecognizable mass of flesh. It wasn’t a clean cut. You couldn’t even recognize it as a foot. … If I had thought it was somehow reattachable and usable, I would have gone to my commander.”

Royal Shrovetide Football Match 2011 In Photos: WAGs And A Cork Ball

THE teams sing Auld Lang Syne. Lord James Percy, brother of the Duke of Northumberland, parps the bugle. Jim Boden tossed the ball filled with cork into the mob. And starts the annual Shroventide football match in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, is off.

For those readers from overseas uncertain as to why British tourists play 55-a-side matches on the playas and beaches of Europe here’s a spot of background: The Royal Shorvetide Football match occurs annually on Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday in the town of Ashbourne. It has been played since at least the 12th Century. The two teams that contest the match are known as the Up’Ards and the Down’Ards. The aim is to score in one of the goals three miles apart at Clifton and Sturston.

Phineas Gage Had A Hole In His Head And Paul Gascoinge Really Did Go To Italy

PHINEAS Gage did have a hole in his dead. Dr Foster did go to Gloucester. Paul Gascoigne really is fatter than you and me and did you to Italy – que sera sera.

The latest rhyme to pass the fact test is that of Phineas Gage. As the rhyme goes:

“Phineas Gage had a hole in his head, and ev’ryone knew that he oughta be dead. Was it fate or blind luck, though it never came clear, kept keepin’ on year after year…”

The BBC reports that Phineas worked on the railways in Vermont. On 13 September 1848, the iron rod he used to pack down explosives created a spark and detonated the powders.

The iron rod shot into his face. It entered below an eye and exited through his skull at the top of his head. He lived.

German Train Refuses To Stop For Child Stuck On Board: Must Run On Time

THE train hurtling through Germany cannot be stopped. It has to run on time. Two-year-old Marie Luise Kracht, who is now alone on the train, must wait for the train to make a scheduled stop.

Marie’s mum, one Ulrike Kracht, 19, became separated from her child when the automatic doors on the Deutsche Bahn train closed. He had removed her bags and pram from the train and was about to go back for her daughter when the doors shot.

Says mum:

“It was the worst moment of my life. I heard Marie Luise shout ‘mama’ and she was gone!”
