Man Kills Friend Over Predictive Text Message
NEIL Brook, 33, of Wilbraham Road, Walkden, is accused of murdering his friend and neighbour, 27- year-old Josef Witkowski. He’s in the dock at Manchester Crown Court.
The jury hears that the pair rowed over a text message. Brook meant to use the word “nutter”, but his predictive text turned it to “mutter”. Mutter, yer honour, is a a local colloquialism for “a person who behaves in an antisocial or vulgar manner”.
Mr Witkowski was not pleased. They argued over text. He then went round to see Brook.
Mr Witkowski – unhappy at being called anti-social – is armed with a knife. In readiness for something, Brook had taped a knife to the back of his front door. He pulls it free and stabs Mr Witkowski in the leg and the chest. Mr Witkowski had 104 injuries.
The jury listen to both sides of the debate and find him guilty of manslaughter.

New Home Owner Finds Old Owner’s Decomposing Body In Kitchen
WHEN the new owner moved into her flat in Lisbon, Portugal, she took possession of a bijou residence and the old owner’s rotting corpse.
Augusta Martinho had been last seen on August 2002. She was 87. She was found dead on the kitchen floor. Her pet dog was dead on the balcony.
No-one, including the police, could open her front door, so they went away. And some years later her home was auctioned.

Old Man Arrested For Tossing Grape At Wife
MUG Shot Of The Day is Sebastiano Russo, a 75-year-old arrested for tossing a gape at his wife, Claire Russo, age 71.
Russo has been charged with aggravated battery.
Sebastiano Russo, who comes to the home intoxicated several times a week, told his ex-wife he was bringing his girlfriend to the house, the report said. When Claire Russo told him, “No, not in my house,” the ex-husband threatened to kill her and then attacked her with the grape, the witness told the sheriff deputy.

Stacey Champion You Legend: Woman Tries To Post Puppy
MARY Bale, meet Stacey Champion. She’s the 39-year-old who tried to post a four-month-old schnauzer-poodle puppy (the name’s Guess) in a sealed parcel from Minneapolis to Atlanta, Georgia.
It was for her son’s 11th birthday. And you can imagine the look on his face as he would have opened the box and retrieved the realistic stuffed toy – complete with rich, authentic odour.

World’s Politest Robber Caught On Camera
THE robber who held up the Washington state store was polite. Whether out of habit or genuine respect, Mr Henry, shopkeeper at the White Center Shell station in Seattle, even thanked the man for robbing him.
The robber left his fingerprints all over the place and was soon caught.
But what we’d like to now is how many thanks yous is too many thank yous? Do you thank the shopper at the end of the transaction? And does the shopper need to say thank you at all?

A FEW days ago, the media treated us to a flurry of headlines about a supposed UFO in Jerusalem, the most dramatic being the Daily Mail‘s ”Are aliens here? Shining white ‘UFO’ spotted over Jerusalem shrine”, the Daily Telegraph‘s “UFO hovers over Jerusalem shrine“; and Fox News’ “UFO Hovers Over Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock Shrine“. CBS at least added a question mark: “UFO over Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock?“. My personal favourite, though, is a cheeky one from Aquapour: “Jerusalem Dome Of The Rock UFO Videos Impress Pope“; only half-way through the story is it made clear that this is a reference to UFO investigator Nick Pope rather than to Benedict XVI.
The headlines failed to make clear that the only evidence for these claims were somevideos on YouTube, and that the only named person who has come forward claiming to have seen the unearthly entity is the man who posted the original video: this was a certain “Mr Eligael Gidlovitch of Tel Aviv” (some reports name him as “Aligal Gidliovic”, “Eligael Gedalyovich”, or as ”Eli Gael”); he has a YouTube channel here, and he was lucky enough to capture a second UFO a couple of days later (“This ufo was higher in the sky and moved above the old city for long time”, the blurb tells us).

British Woman Dies In US From Illegal Bigger Buttocks Injection
A BRITISH woman has died from having her buttocks enhanced in a Pennsylvania hotel. Claudia Adusei died at the Hampton Inn, close to Philadelphia International Airport. Miss Adusei, 20, had arrived in the US from the UK to have non-approved liquid silicon injected into her backside.

Man Sells Sofa To Child With Photo Of Oral Sex
WHEN Ty’Ge, 9, received a text message with photo of a man receiving oral sex on a sofa, he showed his grandmother.
From her Florida home, she called the number.
The man said he had been trying to sell the sofa and the only photo he had of it happened to feature him getting fellated.

Bradford Police Seek Man With Trotters For Hands
IN Bradford a boy has found a finger on the street. He hands it to the police. The Homicide and Major Enquiry team from West Yorkshire Police close the area and make a sweep.
A mere 24 hours late the finger is found to be a pig’s trotter.

Judge Bans Too Stupid Man From Having Sex
AT the High Court the judge has banned Alan, a man with an IQ of 48 and some learning issues, from having sex. Yes, readers, the man is deemed too stupid to have sex. He must not be allowed to breed. The State owns his reproductive organs.
But he enjoys sex. He loves having sex with the man he lives with. But the 41-year old is too dumb to understand the perils of enjoyable sex. So, the judge says he must stop doing it.

Schizophrenic Knife Attacker Escapes Clinic To Teach German In School
FOLLOWING news of the Hungarian teacher who head-butted a pupil (he was cheered by the victim’s parents) is the story of the schizophrenic who escaped from the clinic where he’d been interned for a knife attack and ended up teaching German in school.
This is the future of education and pupil control. Evey so often the authorities should release a violent prisoner into the education system. The pupils should know about it. Lakeland Axeman In Court For Scaring Mobile Card Sharps With Bloody Wife
JOHN Powell and his fiancee Lucy Walton are in South Lakeland Magistrates’ Court for partaking in a fake axe attack.
Powell, 28, of Hagg End Farm, Crook, and Walton wanted to scare the three men who they say regularly parked near their farmland in a lay-by at Cleabarrows Lane and sat in the car.
We join the action as Miss Walton comes shrieking down the lane. She is doused in red tomato ketchup. Behind her is Mr Powell. He is holding a big axe. She bangs on the men’s car. She screams: “Let me in, let me in.”

Essex Council Bans Ornaments From Cemeteries
THE council cemetery in Colchester, Essex, will no longer look so colourful should the council get their way and the “ornaments” are removed.
Says councillor Martin Hunt:
“…the removal of ornaments from open spaces, in particular trees, is necessary to allow funeral services to be conducted with the dignity they deserve and allow all mourners to grieve in peace.”
