The 2010 Stonehenge Summer Solstice In Pictures
TO Stonehenge for the summer solstice. There are an estimated 20,000 people there to see the sun rise over Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. Police arrest 34 people for minor drug offences. Why bother? Car Thieves Steal Jonas The Tiger And Two Camels
THE police in Canada – the Sureté du Québec – are looking for a stolen trailer containing a tiger and two camels.
The beasts were on a trip from Bowmanville Zoo when the drivers stopped for a break. The trailer was stolen.
For any trailer thieves tuning in, the camels answer to the traditional names Sean and Todd, and the tiger is called Jonas.

91-Year-old Woman Digs Up Dead Husband And Sister And Kept Them At Home
AT the Wyalusing Township, Pennsylvania, 91-year-old Jean Stevens is accused of digging up two relatives (both dead) and putting them in her house.
One body, believed to be Stevens’ late husband, Jimmy Stevens, was in the spare bedroom. The other body, believed to that of her twin sister, June, was in the garage rolled up in a rug.

TO the Annual Service of the Order of St John at St Paul’s Cathedral, where the priest – the Rt Revd John Nicholls (Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St John) and former Bishop of Sheffield – is ordering a minute’s silence for England’s World Cup team. A reader writers:

Man Called Hole Encouraged Shot Son To Pose With Loaded Gun
MICHAEL Hole was sentenced to five year jail at Cardiff Crown Court for encouraging his teenage stepson, Lewis Bailey, to pose for photographs with a loaded gun – the boy accidentally shot himself in the head. (Nominative determinism, readers.)
The 50-year-old says he found the semi-automatic .25 Beretta series 950 gun on wasteground near the family home. Lewis wanted Bailey to pose for a shot on his mobile phone. Bailey aimed the gun at his temple. He pulled the trigger. A bullet passed through his brain. Hole called the ambulance – and legged it.

Woman Ruptures Throat Blowing Vuvuzela: 46 Million To Go
YVONNE Mayer, of Cape Town, South Africa, has ruptured her throat blowing a vuvuzela. Not long ago that might have sounded almost funny. No, having heard what a vuvuzela is, it is hilarious.
Oh, we joke. A woman is hurt. But not badly. She never swallowed it…all. Anyhow,. She was injured in vuvuzela blowing contest. Says she:
“It took about two days to heal, by Monday I was feeling fine. I just hope there is no permanent damage, but it doesn’t seem like it.”

Japanese Teacher Anri Suzuki Wants Sex With Students To Apologise For Japanese War Crimes
MISS Anri Suzuki, 24, from Tokyo, says she will repair wrongs carried out by Japanese soldiers in China by having sex with the Chinese student body.
Japan invaded – penetrated, if you will – China in 1937.

60 Human Heads Found In Box At Southwest Airlines – Kevin Smith’s Pot Noodles?
SOUTHWEST Airlines (Kevin Smith’s favourite airline) has discovered 60 human heads in a box addressed to Medtronic, a medical research company in Fort Worth, Texas. The supplier of human heads is JLS Consulting.
The discovery was made by a worker at Little Rock, Arkansas. Says county coroner Garland Camper:
“We’ve come to the conclusion that there is a black market out there for human body parts for research or for whatever reason.”

Man Attacks Police Who Wake Him From Good Dream
WILLIAM Meadows is lying down in his pickup truck at a Chevron petrol station near Sunrise, Arizona. A worker at the station looks inside the vehicle. He knocks on the window.
Meadows wakes up behaves violently.
Sgt. Mark Ortega invites Meadows, 47, to calm down. And to sit down.

Big Live Fish Swims Into Man’s Windpipe
A LIVE FISH – 13-inches long – is tuck in Mohammed Kunhi’s windpipe.
To Kanhangad in Kerala, where the fish trader is holding a live fish between his teeth as he removes another fish from his nets.
The fish slips into his mouth, pelican like. To Mangala Hospital. Says Dr Ganapathy:
“By the time Kunhi came to our hospital, his lungs, due to lack of oxygen, had collapsed and he looked sure to die of aspiration pneumonia.”
A bronchoscopy spotted the fish. A knife and the fish is removed via Kunhi’s throat.

Californian Gary Brooks Faulkner Hunts Osama Bin Laden In Pakistan With 40-inch Sword
CALIFORNIAN man Gary Brooks Faulkner has been walking about northern Pakitsan looking to kill Osama bin Laden with a 40-inch sword. He also had night-vision goggles and a small pistol.
Says Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, of the local police:

Cops Tazer Robber Counting Loot Outside Police Station
JERMAINE Howard is Our Villain of The Day – that’s him counting his loot outside a Chicago police station.
Howard, 18, is said to have robbed a woman at gunpoint. She gave chase. He fell down a flight of a stairs.
Howard is not without heart. When the victim asked for her handbag back, he gave it to her, albeit minus her purse.

Killer Clowns On Loose In El Salvador: Unregistered Ones
IN El Salvador, beware the imposter clowns. The imposter clowns kill. You’ll die laughing:
About 100 professional clowns who make money by performing on public buses marched through the Salvadoran capital Thursday to protest the killing of a passenger by two imposter clowns …
“We are protesting so that people know we are not killers,” said professional clown Ana Noelia Ramirez. “The people who did this are not clowns. They unfortunately used our costume and our makeup to commit a monstrous act.”

Essex Police Give Speeding Mobility Scooter Diver An Asbo

Prisoner Awarded $300,000 For Guard’s Testicals Squeeze
HOW much a squeeze of your testicles worth? Stephen Lewis got $300,000 when a guard at the prison he was residing in “sexually assaulted him”.
Lewis, 54, serving a two-year sentence for drugs offences, alleged that Terry Burroughs felt him up during a “pat-frisk” at the Arthur Kill Correctional Facility in Staten Island. It as further claimed that three female guards, Asia Powell, Cherisse Smith and Deidre Bing, looked on and did nothing to stop the assault.
