Fayzarahmanist Islamists lived in underground bunker for 10 years
MEMBERS of the Islamist Fayzarahmanist sect have been living in an eight-storey underground bunker near Kazan, Tatarstan, an internal Russian republic, for close to ten years. Reuters reports that 70 people (including 20 children) lived in the bunker with neither heat nor light. Some of the dwellers have never seen the sun.
Reports are that the Fayzarahmanist sect was created by Fayzrahman Satarov, who claimed his home as an independent Islamic state.

Man ate Glasgow Rangers fan’s ear in Whispers bar
TO a pub in Tranent, East Lothian, where Alastair Park, 30, is fighting with Graeme Aitken. Mr Aitken, a fan for Glasgow Rangers FC, had challenged fellow drinkers to a fight. Mr Park, a keen rugby fan, accepted the challenge. In the fracas, Park bit the top from one of Mr Aitken’s ears and ate some of it.
Park was arrested for the incident at – get this – Whispers Lounge Bar.

Jesus spotted in Texas pensioner’s tortilla
TO the La Amistad Adult Daycare in Beeville, Texas, where Jesus has appeared in 80-year-old Ernesto Garza’s egg breakfast tortilla. Jesus is now in the fridge.
As Mr Garza says:
“I looked at it for five minutes.”
He asked a friend what the burnigns looked like? She replied: “Jesus.”

Mr Stoner arrested for marijuana possession
NOMINATIVE determinism of the day features Jessie Stoner. When police stopped his truck for having a broken brake light, they found marijuana and a dead 4-foot alligator in his tool box.
Stoner has been charged with misdemeanor counts of drug possession and – get this – taking an alligator without a permit.

Why did Darwin man stick a lit firework in his butt?
WHY did Alex Bowden, 23, of Wagaman, Darwin, Australia, place a spinning “flying bee” winged firework between his trousered arse cheeks and light it?
Senior Sergeant Garry Smith has told us: “It probably seemed like a good idea at the time.” The policeman added that Bowden could be fined $282 for letting off fireworks.

‘Simon Cowell’ wanted for eating chair on Devon bus
TO Devon, where police are seeking a man who ate a chunk of a bus chair in Paignton.
Say police:
“While travelling between Paignton and Torquay on a number 12 bus, a male passenger started chewing the leather seat he was sat on and continued to pick at the hole with his hand to make further damage. Around £200 of damage was caused.”

Flying owl makes off with male dog as 26 women lose their knickers
“I HAD tasked the two village heads, Pauro and Charuseka, to meet their subjects with the aim of inviting a traditional healer to cleanse their areas. I then saw village head Pauro coming to my homestead with more strange news that a huge owl came flying from nowhere before picking up a male dog at his homestead and flew away while they were at a meeting. It’s mind boggling what is going on in the area.”
So says Chief Njelele of Gokwe, Zimbabwe, on the case of 26 village women who woke up with no knickers on and naked. The 26 knickers were later found in the woods.

Cows and Crows bring terror to Seattle
ON July 18 2012, two streets in Edmonds, Seattle were dusted with a white powder. The emergency services arrived in full chemical warfare suits. The powder turned out to be the result of two crows dragging around a bag of white flour.

Dad’s rectum impaled on children’s fairground ride
YOU join us at the Furuvik theme park near Gävle in eastern Sweden, where a 31-year-old man has become impaled on a child’s ride. His rectum has been penetrated by the tow-bar on a minicar truck.

Spate of teenagers stuck in swings puzzles Scotland
THE Scotsman reports that firefighters in Edinburgh have twice been called this week to rescue people trapped in a swings in the Stenhouse Drive play park. In the past few days, an 18-year-old woman and 14-year-old youth have been cut free. The woman was released at 12.33am; the boy in the “evening“.
Around the same time, a 17-year-old man was “extricated” from a swing in Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders. He too had become stuck fast.

Boy finds free lizard baked into loaf of bread
CHEAP protein is the wonder of the modern age. Just get a load of what William Evans, 10, from, Hawkchurch near Axminster, Devon, who says he found a meat lizard baked in a Tesco’s multi-grain brown loaf. No extra charge. You’d think young Evans would be well chuffed.
And what odds dad Marcus is trying to play down the freebie so that not everyone wants one. He tells the Midweek Herald:
“The poor little lad was absolutely traumatised by it. He went to take a slice off for some toast, turned the loaf over and found the lizard stuck on the bottom.”
